If you look back at the history of America in the 19th century and before, the monetary issue was always one of the main issues. Speculation in the Continental currency which the Patriots used to finance the Revolution was one of the causes of the Constitution being passed (because the speculators had no chance of getting real money for this phony money if the states remained sovereign). Jefferson was a strong advocate of sound money (either gold or silver) and deflation, but Hamilton (and the elites) supported inflation and a Central Bank. Andrew Jackson’s presidency was dominated by the Bank War, in which he shut down the Central Bank to the dismay of the elites. Lincoln printed “greenbacks” during the Civil War, which were much like he Continentals of a century before.

The Democrat Party actually went Socialist because the midwestern farmers wanted inflation (through bimetallism), but they would replace the Gold Standard with the Federal Reserve Act, written by bankers.

Since last year, I have made a good deal of money by betting AGAINST the value of the American dollar in the foreign currency markets.

I will never forget what an economist from Switzerland told me back in 2006 - he said, look, your President (Bush) is a retarded manchild. He is a stupid man, and if you want to make money, then bet on his stupidity, and AGAINST your own currency.

He was so right. I’m so glad I followed his advice. Of course, he went into a lot of academic detail about WHY Bush was such a retard, but his fundamental point really stuck with me.

Does anyone else want the dollar to decline, so that we can make even MORE money off of currency speculation AGAINST the dollar?

I have even heard various idiots call me “unpatriotic” for betting so strongly against the dollar.

Guess what - the REAL unpatriotic guy in all of this is George Bush himself. He’s the one who jihaded the value of the dollar into the ground. Blame him before blaming guys like me.

President Bush’s demolition of the American economy has allowed me to profit hand-over-fist over the last two years. I wrote on these very boards last year that people should bet against the dollar and bet ON the Euro, Yen, and other currencies.

Today, the American dollar dropped below one Swiss Franc for the first time EVER. It took George Bush’s administration to push the dollar that low.

Given how easy Bush has made it to make money on currency speculation (all you have to do is bet AGAINST the dollar), is he the greatest President ever? What other presidents have made currency speculation and betting against America so profitable.

Thank you, Bush! You’re the reason my Euro account grows in value by the day!
